The Challenge
In the midst of the pandemic, The Refinery office development needed tenants. The modern office building with an industrial feel neared completion, and developers Flyway Companies engaged with Lee & Associates Charleston to assist in filling it up.
Our Approach
As a team, Davis, Harper and Yost took the time to understand the location appeal, the building appeal, and the upside for tenants, and began outreach. The team focused on pinpointing the right targets at the right time, connecting The Refinery’s open spaces with prospects that could thrive there. Another strategy was marketing spec suites, which was met with success.
The Outcome
Through targeted outreach and months of consistent activity, the dominos started to fall and availability shrunk by the week. In June of 2022, Lee & Associates secured the final lease, a 4,462 SF marquee restaurant lease with Cleats (Daps Imbibe). With the building at full occupancy, ownership is now laser-focused on programming the exciting amphitheater space.
