As a former retail operator, Justin was in-tune with what the client was searching for and what their critical considerations were. He eased the client’s concerns on opening their inaugural physical location in the midst of the pandemic by presenting market insight surrounding the rebound of retail, specifically with a brand as strong as Sewing Down South. In addition, Justin had recent experience working with the landlord broker on thsi deal, and worked to come to terms on a deal that would benefit both parties.
The client was initially bullish on a different location, but Justin convinced them to check out a far better fit in his eyes: 494 King Street. The client fell in love with the space, and did not have to undergo significant upfits (the previous tenant was a home décor company).
Justin negotiated a great rate on the best block of the most renowned street for retail in the Southeast. This outcome gave Sewing Down South the confidence to spend the necessary funds on their buildout to create a beautiful store.
